Project Manager
Job Summary
Cheppers is seeking a highly organized Project Manager to oversee various Cloud Engineering (AWS) and web development (Drupal, PHP, React) projects for our prestigious international and local clients. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to enhance the quality of our work, manage multiple projects, and coordinate in-house development initiatives. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and strong critical thinking to resolve issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning: Ensure comprehensive project planning, including phases such as discovery, development, testing, bug fixes, and deployment.
- Scheduling: Manage project and developer schedules to prevent overwork or underutilization. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by assessing their needs.
- Project Administration: Keep project documentation up-to-date for transparency and smooth onboarding. Write meeting memos and follow up diligently to ensure stakeholder alignment. Maintain accurate project tracking in JIRA.
- Team Support: Monitor work progress to remove roadblocks and resolve conflicts efficiently. Mitigate risks and ensure team coordination.
- Oversight: Track project time to prevent delays or budget overruns. Be aware of each developer's work habits to ensure no one falls behind.
- Communication: ensure that our mostly US-based clients and the team are on the same page through clear and timely communication.
Requirements
- Experience: At least one year as a Project Manager in IT projects.
- Skills:
- Fluent or advanced English and Hungarian.
- Excellent time management for self and developers.
- Outstanding communication skills in writing and speaking.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with team coordination.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in account management.
- Experience with content management systems (preferably Drupal).
- Knowledge of DevOps and cloud concepts (AWS).
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools.
